The Gods worked against us in preparation for our SSTV demonstration and overview, but despite this, several technical difficulties, and the absence of a planned temporary 2M antenna – we did manage to receive a few SSTV images sent by members from their QTH (thanks to Rich, Pete and John for sending these).
After several attempts, Dan managed to successfully configure a few laptops sufficiently to receive several images – credit must go to him for persevering with that, and also that he was present at club doing this for us actually on his 18th Birthday! Hope you had a decent celebration the next day, Dan, to make up for being at club on the day of your 18th!!
This was the first of a two week presentation, and next weeks part two will have both John and Pete demonstrating and presenting how to dive deeper into using SSTV on a Windows machine.
