Another excellent presentation this evening at NARS, this time by Gareth, MW1DCF on Portable and Mobile operations. Gareth showed us various set ups, and discussed the various antennas and transceivers he has used when out mobile.
Gareths presentation slides (above), show the details of how he powers his mobile operation with solar panels, together with photographs from mobile operations at Llancloudy and The British. Gareth does advise though, that solar power isn’t very effective at night.
